Staring at a blank editor with no idea what to write is the worst part of running a blog. This prompt fixes that in one run.

Here’s the prompt from my toolbox. One run gets you a month or more of post ideas.

The filled prompt
Give me 30 blog post ideas for a blog about homesteading on a quarter acre, written for suburban families who want to grow some of their own food.

Split them up:
- 10 how-to posts
- 10 questions a beginner would actually type into Google
- 10 list posts

For each one, give me the title and one line on what the reader walks away with. No generic filler titles like "The Ultimate Guide to...", and skip any idea that would need statistics I'd have to make up.

I ran it in Gemini, and it came back with all 30, each with a title and a line on what the reader gets. A few of my favorites:

  • How to Test Your Soil Texture Using a Glass Jar
  • Can I really homestead on a quarter acre?
  • Do I need to buy a rototiller for a small garden?
  • 6 Perennial Vegetables You Only Have to Plant Once
  • 10 Sources of Free Organic Matter for Your Garden

Not an “Ultimate Guide” in the bunch.

Make It Yours!

Swap in your niche and your reader.

The template
Give me 30 blog post ideas for a blog about [YOUR NICHE], written for [WHO YOUR READER IS AND WHAT THEY WANT].

The Line You Should Not Touch!

“10 questions a beginner would actually type into Google”

Leave that one alone. That group gives you the posts people are searching for, written the way they’d type them. Those make great titles and even better headings.

Full Disclosure

These are ideas, not keyword research. The AI doesn’t know how many people search for each one, so if SEO matters to you, run your favorites through a keyword tool before you write them.

Be specific with your reader, too. “Suburban families who want to grow some of their own food” gets you much better ideas than “people who like gardening.”

Once a post is written, the One-to-Ten workflow turns it into a week of social posts and emails.
