Here’s a fun one for the prepper crowd. Describe how your household eats and stores food, and one prompt hands you a photorealistic pantry built around it.
Use it to plan a real build-out, or use it for visuals in your prepper content, whether that’s blog posts, pins or lead magnets.
Here’s a prompt from my toolbox.
A photorealistic prepper pantry and prep kitchen for a family of five that cooks from scratch and keeps a six-month food supply. The room: a converted basement with one small window and a sealed concrete floor. Storage: floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves of home-canned jars on the left, food-grade buckets and big clear whole food tubs on the bottom shelves, and a rolling rack of dried beans and rice in clear bins. Prep zone: a butcher-block counter with a stand mixer and a pressure canner, a deep utility sink and dried herbs hanging overhead. Look: warm natural wood, black iron hardware and bright overhead task lighting. Organized and lived-in, not cluttered, with room to walk. No readable text, no logos.

That’s what came back. Wooden shelves of home-canned jars, buckets and clear tubs down low, a rolling rack of beans and rice and a butcher-block prep counter with all your equipment.
Make It Yours!
Swap the brackets for your own setup.
A photorealistic prepper pantry and prep kitchen for [WHO YOU FEED AND HOW YOU STORE]. The room: [ROOM]. Storage: [WHAT GOES WHERE]. Prep zone: [COUNTER, APPLIANCES, SINK]. Look: [MATERIALS AND LIGHTING]. Organized and lived-in, not cluttered, with room to walk. No readable text, no logos.
A couple of households to try:
- A couple in a small apartment with one closet pantry and a chest freezer
- A homestead family with a root cellar and a big garden
The Line You Should Not Touch!
“Organized and lived-in, not cluttered, with room to walk.”
Leave that one alone. Without it you can end up with a showroom nobody’s ever cooked in, or a basement that looks like it belongs on a hoarding show.
Full Disclosure
Name your containers. My first run gave me giant silver cans on the floor that looked like regular soup cans blown up to the size of a trash can. Not a real thing you’d find in a pantry. Swapping “big cans” for “food-grade buckets and big clear whole food tubs” fixed it.
It also labeled the jars and buckets even though the prompt says no readable text. It looks realistic, so I left it, but check the labels for gibberish before you use one somewhere it matters.
Writing For Preppers?

Go build the pantry. Even if it’s only on screen for now. 😊
