Clipart sets are a staple on Etsy and in PLR packs. Crafters, teachers and small shops buy them by the bundle for cards, invitations and social posts.
The hard part is getting a set that actually matches (same brush, same palette, same feel) and pieces you can cut out cleanly.
Here’s the prompt from my toolbox. One run gets you a full set.
A set of 9 watercolor clipart illustrations on a plain white background, arranged in a 3x3 grid with plenty of space between them. Theme: autumn harvest. Items: a pumpkin, a stack of apples, a plain unlabeled jar of apple butter, a bundle of wheat, a basket of gourds, a maple leaf, a slice of pie, a straw scarecrow hat and a mug of cider. Style: soft hand-painted watercolor with light ink outlines. Colors: burnt orange, deep red, mustard and olive green. Each item stands alone with nothing touching or overlapping. No text, no background scenery, no shadows under the items.

All 9 items I listed, all in the same soft watercolor style, and not one of them touching another. That last part is what makes them easy to cut out.

The Line You Should Not Touch!
“Each item stands alone with nothing touching or overlapping.”
Leave that one alone. If the pieces overlap, you can’t cut them apart, and a clipart set you can’t cut apart is just a picture.
Full Disclosure
My first run put an “APPLE BUTTER” label on the jar even with no text in the prompt. Writing “a plain unlabeled jar of apple butter” fixed it. Anything that usually has words on it (jars, signs, boxes) gets the same treatment.
To sell them as PNGs, you’ll still need to cut each piece out onto a transparent background. A background remover makes quick work of it. Want a sticker version instead? The planner sticker sheet prompt does that.
Selling These?
Clipart sells better with listings, blog posts and emails behind it. That’s where my PLR shop comes in: done-for-you content you can put your name on and use as your own.
Go build a set. Your first theme is probably sitting on your kitchen counter right now.
